California viewers who watched the end of the marriage between “The Real Housewives of New York City” stars Jules and Michael Wainstein can now learn more about the details of their divorce. The recent court order was the first of what will likely be many to come as the divorce process unravels.
The Real Housewife had requested $25,000 a month in child support and spousal support. The couple had been married for eight years and have two young children. After appearing in only one season of RHONY, Jules Wainstein is reportedly not going to return to the Bravo reality show. The legal battle between the two has been bitter with both camps hurling damaging accusations at the other. Jules Wainstein reported that she wanted a divorce because she claims that her husband had indiscretions with another woman. Michael Wainstein’s attorney alleged that Jules had physically assaulted the husband in 2012. Jules’ representative denied the incident.
The Manhattan judge ordered on Sept. 8 that Michael will be required to pay $10,000 a month in spousal and child support. The judge also ordered that the spouses would be relegated to a certain section of the Manhattan home they share. Michael Wainstein will be on the first floor of the home with access to the office on level two while Jules Wainstein will have access to the second and third floor.
